01In short
Art of DS sets only the cookies that keep you signed in, and keeps a few of your settings in your browser. None of them tracks you, which is why there is no cookie banner.
03Kept in your browser
These stay on your device and are never sent to us, except the progress, which goes to your own account.
| Name | What it holds | How long |
|---|---|---|
ds:theme, ds:palette | Your appearance: light or dark, and the palette. | Until you clear it |
ds-site:nav-collapsed | The topic groups you folded in the sidebar. | Until you clear it |
ds-quiz-v1 | Your latest quiz scores and your last eight final tests. | Until you clear it |
ds-progress-v1 | With lifetime access: your progress, synced with your account. | Until you sign out |
Visits are counted with Umami, which sets no cookie and stores nothing in your browser (Privacy policy). Nothing else comes from a third party except the checkout: the fonts are served from this site and search runs in your browser.
The checkout is the one exception. If you pay, Paddle opens its own payment window on the checkout page, which loads Paddle’s code and may set Paddle’s cookies, under Paddle’s own privacy notice. Nothing of that is loaded anywhere else on the site.
Signing out removes the cookies and the progress kept in the browser; your browser’s settings clear the rest.
